The short version. Emailsupport@smflow.co within 14 days of your purchase and we will refund it. Your license key is revoked when we do. Before buying, the Free edition lets you evaluate the entire toolchain — editor, compiler, simulator, and real hardware deployment — at no cost.
1. The refund window
SMFlow Pro purchases may be refunded in full within 14 days of the date of purchase. You do not need to justify the request.
We keep the window at 14 days rather than longer because the Free edition is not a crippled demo: it runs the same compiler, the same simulator, and the same hardware targets, and it will build and flash a real controller. Almost everything you would want to test before buying can be tested without buying.
2. How to request one
Email support@smflow.co from the address you purchased with, and include your license key or the Square receipt number. Emailing from the purchase address is what lets us confirm the request is yours without asking for anything further.
We aim to acknowledge within two business days. Once approved, the refund is issued to the original payment method; how quickly it appears is set by your bank, and is typically five to ten business days.
3. What happens to your license
A refund and a license are a single transaction. When a refund is issued:
- Your license key is revoked and can no longer be activated on any machine.
- Existing activations stop being renewable. SMFlow is designed to work offline, so an already-activated installation may continue to run until its local license is next checked — but continuing to use Pro features after a refund is a breach of the License Agreement, and you are asked to revert to the Free edition.
- Anything you built stays yours. Projects you created and C++ source you generated while licensed remain your property, as section 9 of the License Agreement sets out. A refund does not reach into your work.
4. After the window
We are not obliged to refund after 14 days. We would still rather hear from you than not: if the software does not do what this site says it does, emailsupport@smflow.co and we will look at it on the facts.
5. When we may decline
We may refuse a refund where:
- The request falls outside the 14-day window without good reason.
- The license key was obtained fraudulently, resold, or shared in breach of the License Agreement.
- A pattern of repeated purchase-and-refund suggests the policy is being used to obtain the software without paying for it.
6. Please contact us before a chargeback
If something has gone wrong with a charge, email us first. A chargeback takes weeks, costs us a fee whether or not it succeeds, and cannot be reversed once filed, whereas a refund request usually resolves the same day. We will revoke a license key that is the subject of a chargeback.
7. Duplicate and mistaken purchases
Bought twice by accident, or paid with the wrong card? Emailsupport@smflow.co. Duplicate purchases are refunded regardless of the 14-day window — you were never meant to pay $500 twice.
