1. Who you are buying from
SMFlow is sold by SMFlow LLC, an Indiana limited liability company (“SMFlow”, “we”, “us”), located in Dyer, Indiana, United States.
Payments are processed by Square. Your card details are entered on Square’s hosted checkout page and are never transmitted to or stored by our servers. Square acts as our payment processor only; SMFlow LLC is the seller of record for your purchase.
2. What you are buying
A purchased SMFlow Pro license is a perpetual, non-expiring license to use the SMFlow software, priced at $500 USD as a one-time payment. There is no subscription, no renewal charge, and no per-device or per-unit royalty on software you compile with it.
Evaluation licenses are different and are not sold. A Pro evaluation is issued free of charge and is time-limited: it unlocks Pro features for a fixed term — 15days by default — after which SMFlow returns to the Free edition. An evaluation is not a purchase, so these Terms of Sale do not apply to it; its use is governed solely by theLicense Agreement. The perpetual, non-expiring license described above is only the one you receive when you pay.
$500 is an introductory price. The regular price is $800 USD, and we may end the introductory price at any time. A license bought at the introductory price is perpetual on the same terms as any other — it is not re-priced later, and no further payment is ever due on it.
A Pro license entitles you to:
- Unlimited nodes per flow, lifting the 12-node cap of the Free edition.
- Commercial use rights, including deployment on production machines and OEM products.
- Activation on up to 3 machines at a time.
- Continued use of every version released while your license is valid. Access to future major versions is not guaranteed by this purchase and may be offered as a separate upgrade.
The precise scope of your rights in the software is set out in theLicense Agreement, which you accept when you activate the software.
3. Sales territory
We currently offer SMFlow Pro for sale to purchasers in the United States only. We may decline or refund an order placed from outside that territory. If we begin selling elsewhere, we will do so through a merchant of record who handles local tax, and these terms will be updated to identify them.
4. Taxes
Prices are shown in US dollars and exclude any applicable sales tax, which is calculated and added at checkout where required. You are responsible for any other tax, duty, or levy arising from your purchase that is not collected by us at checkout.
5. Delivery
Your license key is delivered by email to the address you supply at checkout, normally within a few minutes of a successful payment. Delivery is electronic; nothing is shipped.
If your key does not arrive, check your spam folder, then use the key recovery form atsmflow.co/purchase, which re-sends every key held against your purchase email. If that still produces nothing, emailsupport@smflow.co from the address you paid with.
A payment is recorded against your license whether or not the delivery email succeeds, so a failed email never means a lost purchase.
6. Activation
Pro features are unlocked by activating your license key, which registers the machine and stores a signed license file locally. After activation the software does not require an internet connection to keep working. Activation and deactivation are subject to the 3-machine limit; you may free a seat by deactivating a machine you no longer use, or by contactingsupport@smflow.co if that machine is no longer reachable.
7. Refunds
Purchases may be refunded within 14 days, subject to theRefund Policy. A refunded license key is revoked and may no longer be activated.
8. Price changes
We may change the price of SMFlow Pro at any time. A change never affects a purchase already completed — your perpetual license remains perpetual at the price you paid.
9. Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is wrong, contact support@smflow.co first; almost everything is resolved faster that way than through a dispute. We reserve the right to revoke a license key that is the subject of a chargeback.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to your purchase is limited to the amount you paid for the license. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.
SMFlow generates code for control systems. You are responsible for validating, testing, and certifying any system you build with it, including for safety. SMFlow is not certified for use in safety-critical applications. See section 6 of the License Agreement.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Indiana have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
12. Notices
Legal notice to us may be given by email tolegal@smflow.co, and our postal address for service is available on request from that address or from our registered agent on file with theIndiana Secretary of State. Notice to you is given to the email address on your order.
13. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms. The version in force for your purchase is the one published on this page at the time you paid, and revisions are not retroactive. Contactlegal@smflow.co with any question about them.
